What level of intimacy do you present in your work? Do you dig down to all the squishy noises or pan tastefully to the rhythmically wafting curtains?

I had a nice little break over xmas. Looking forward to getting back into some writing. I have a difficult scene coming up in my new book.
I've found it's important when facing something like that to get something down on paper. It's impossible to work with nothing. Even if the first draft is bad, you have at least learned what not to do.

You character should be different at the end of the story than at the beginning. What do they want to change? What do they need to change? Why will there be a conflict between those two things?
