Mood's falling rapidly. Gonna try to divert our attention into a #videogame, which isn't usual for us, but we're going with something familiar and undemanding, the visual novel "Cinders" (q.v. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinders_ )

Trying to decide if we want to play the game in a 'normal' fashion, or do something we've tried before which is allow cards or dice to make the game's decisions for us.

How do you feel about #videogame #accessibility regarding including more players vs the artist’s vision?
Twist: I wanna know if you’re disabled.
Extra context: following inclusive design principles can get you both, but these options are often at odds with each other. Consider those cases.

...And here's another video for one of my (not so) old #videogame music arrangements, now uploaded to #peertube peertube.wtf/w/q5QPPV76ur2Wdbs

This time it's the flying theme from Tales of Phantasia, slightly "mashupped" with the iconic main song from Neverending Story (only the solos and a short part of the leitmotif).

And yeah, the rainbows was a funny and subtle but open way of support for LGBTIAQ+ rights! Everyone involved happens to be non-binary too.

I knew about Minecraft it for a while, but only tried it for the first time in 2022 when a friend suggested it. I never did anything huge, but I found I like walking around aimlessly, hoarding resources and building shelters with beds in random places. I also liked watching Endermen.
The first two screenshots show a skin which I made myself, the other two show a version improved by my friend (would be more noticeable without the armor).

I kinda wish there was a way to just hand most #gamedevs money for a digital #videogame, without going through a "platform".

Like in the ttrpg industry, lots of studios offer digital versions of their products directly through their own websites. If you don't feel like enriching DriveThruRPG to get a Chaosium PDF, you can go to Chaosium's website to buy it. No third party takes a cut. #videogames

An FPV #videogame wherein you are a trauma center doc trying to keep patients from other shoot-em-up games with injuries of varying severity alive, while managing your team of nurses and other docs. Alternate game: patients are coming in from a natural disaster, or a mass shooting. Difficulty level, e .g.,number of incoming patients, and severity of injuries, increases; while resources, as in supplies and available beds, decrease, as you advance thru levels.

Huh, thought about the #videogame #censorship situation.

Wouldn't it be an option to rework one of the blog frontends to be suitable for games so that games could just... have their own page in ActivityPub with links to whatever payment and store options?

That could be done either as a client or server implementaiton.

Sure it's not as good as a proper #p2p option but it also would require much less from-scratch work.

From open beta reviews it seems like Battlefield 6 mostly seems to exist to woo Call of Duty players over to the BF world. Small maps, speedy movement, etc...

So a skip for me most likely. BFV and BF4 still exist and are OK. Should try and see if one could play Battlefield 2 properly anymore. That is the best of the series.
