To be part of the Fediverse, those sofwares must have been conceived in order to allow the decentralisation.
So, #Threads is not in the Fediverse.
#BlueSky may become interoperable with the Fediverse and may be considered with gentleness but it will never become a part of the Fediverse.
@bsky.app @pfrazee.com @mike @dot_social @liaizon
So, alle Inhalte von #Bluesky #Threads, #X aka #Twitter entfernt und auf #Fediverse hier verwiesen. Fühlt sich richtig gut an.
My collection of verified accounts of news organizations, that can be followed from #Mastodon (& anywhere else in the #Fediverse) contains now:
564 federated by @Flipboard
404 on @Mastodon
45 federated by @threads
20 bridged thanks to @snarfed.org
3 federated by @index (#Ghost)
1 on @peertube &
1 on @sharkey

Who's missing?
"#Meta informed data subjects that, despite that fact that an objection to AI training under Article 21(2) #GDPR was accepted in 2024, their personal data will be processed unless they object again—against its former promises, which further undermines any legitimate trust in Meta’s organizational ability to properly execute the necessary steps when data subjects exercise their rights."
What if #ghost and/or #wordpress builds the perfect home for a writer/podcaster on the web, that also doubles as their social media dashboard? Could they kill #substack and #xitter? For that to happen, we'd probably also need #threads and #bluesky to fully federate by default. #SocialWeb
hmm have #Threads just allowed signup without an instagram account?
step forward ig, but we still need more expanded access of Federation!!
Good morning customers of the Fediverse company.
Oh, never mind. Was just a nightmare.
If it's been another year since you last said "I'll delete my Facebook next year"
What was your strategy? And how did it fail? Let's revisit it. Make a plan, give it a realistic timeline, and start actioning things.
Maybe cutting all the circles down to just the people you interact with daily/weekly?
Remember those people will still exist, and with lowered access to them, interactions will become more meaningful.
You can do this. Xx
That's an impressive statistic!
I didn't know #Threads allows only one hashtag per post!
The #Fediverse is mainly #Mastodon
Threads is so very different from it.
It doesn't have an algorithm, so one can't expect "virality" that can happen on other Main stream social media.
However, there are a few kinds of posts that work really well here. For eg.:
These posts with the right kind of hashtags almost always do well. Mastdon may have just become the Left version of Twitter, just like #BlusSky.
Threads is more commercial. Moreover, most Fedi instances block/restrict Fedi lol.
Also, I wonder why you responded from your Mastodon account when I @ mentioned your Threads account.
How has your experience differed b/w the two, in terms of interaction with the people?
We need to make the case to #EzraKlein about why the fedi can be a better version of what twitter was. who can do that?
Meta has a released a New Threads Terms of Use, effective as of May 28!

What could possibly go wrong?
I haven't read it yet so curious what people think!
This seems like news (at least to me) ... From @Flipboard's
most recent video of @pcottle --
"Some people have seen [new #ActivityPub integration] functionality in Brussels previewed....so hoping you will be excited later this year, 2025."
Threads changed it's terms of service, going into effect on May 28th.
It references "The Protocol" a LOT. In this case, it has to be the Fediverse.
More interoperability coming soon?
