@sterophonick i think my hair just naturally tends towards a certain length when left unattended, and also in terms of the look it also really helped to figure out that i actually do have a slightly curly hair texture that benefits from basic curly hair care tips. so i have to credit black women sharing natural hair care tips online here honestly, though it was by proxy of my sister who has legitimately quite curly and thick hair for a white person
though in my case since my hair is not extremely curly the main thing i took away was.. not using shampoo often lol. just condition it when i'm in the shower, with a conditioner that is on the more 'solid fatty' side. and otherwise only shampoo 1-2x a week. just that one thing actually really helped the look of my hair. helps stuff condense into curls
@rudi @sterophonick can confirm. I haven't had a hair cut in about 10 years now, and it is majestic and long now :D
