After streaming Splatoon 1 earlier today, I had a viewer mention that there is some problems with the new Splattercolor Screen special, and I later had a Squid School [youtu.be] video appear in my timeline (I see someone from fedi in their gameplay footage ) talking about some of the issues.
I imagine that there are some people out here on fedi who are affected by the Splattercolor Screen's effect. To those people who are affected (or even if you're not), what are your issues with the Splattercolor Screen?

As far as I know I have full color vision and no disability that would relate to colors or sounds. The only vision problem I have is that I'm near sighted.
When the colors used are Blue v Yellow, I cannot tell the difference between them after getting hit by Screen. Both ink colors look white (or near white it's been a bit since I experienced this) to me. This is somewhat concerning if other people experience this since Blue v Yellow is one of the color lock options if I'm remembering properly.
I personally think Screen is very interesting but weak. In a vacuum where I only consider myself, I would be fine with Screen staying in the game essentially as is.
However, given what I've heard about other people having very serious problems with it, I sincerely hope Nintendo takes another look at the special. I would even be fine with, and kinda encourage, them locking Foil Squeezer and Sorella Undercover to prevent people from using them while they adjust Screen.
As for the community and tournaments, we should listen to the people most effected and from what I've heard that's largely banning it. Banning it sounds like the right call to me, but to be clear I'm only minimally effected by it, I'm not and will likely never be a tournament competitive player, and I don't run tournaments so my opinion should probably not be considered as much as others.
@Cosmiss I'm personally short-sighted too. There's definitely a struggle for me trying to tell the difference between the two at times.
