As the PointsService has been deprecated for years, Roblox will be retiring it on June 30th, 2023. If you still want to keep the corresponding features in your experience, please update to use Data Stores instead.

@jame I don't really miss it, but I wished Roblox handled their use much better, like only allowing PointService to be used for verified game developers for their games, as allowing EVERYONE to use this feature led to Player Point farms, which defeated the original purpose of them.
@boggarak Yeah, Roblox could have done a lot more, both with integrating it on the site (like making the competitive leaderboards more prominent) and encouraging developers to use it more and in a way that's more consistent, so you wouldn't gain 1 point in a game for doing something and then 18 million points in another for an equivalent effort.
That's probably the reason why Xbox/VR support is bad, because Roblox isn't doing anything to really encourage devs.
