cool "Nobody thought to check this" bug: while being on Windows Vista will send you to the fallback Chrome download page for XP and Vista, the download link actually tries downloading the latest ChromeSetup.exe, which
- trips up SmartScreen
- is "not a valid Win32 application"
- has an "invalid signature"

the page gives you the correct "legacy" ChromeSetup from 2020 on XP

anyone at Google seeing this and want to fix it for us Vista-heads? 👀

more funny stuff:
on Windows XP, you get sent installers/win_xp/ChromeSetup.exe, ~2MB from 2020
on Windows 7 and 8.1, you get sent installers/win_7/ChromeSetup.exe, ~2MB from 2024
on Windows 10, 11, and Vista, you get sent installers/ChromeSetup.exe, ~10MB and from 2025

they really did just forget
