That's fair on the focus thing! To be fair though there are a *lot* of systems that don't have in depth combat mechanics, maybe you just haven't found one that works for you on that end.

Yeah 5e is kinda nightmare mode when it comes to remembering the 45347 thing your character can do, that's fair.
