@Maven what about goToSocial? Rn we use Chuckya on wetdry, which is masto with a few extras.

@QuadRadical goToSocial seems fine actually, a lot more light than the others tho (except for kroeg)

@QuadRadical im judging based on the project page, specifically:
“Our focus is on providing lightweight software which is simple to install and maintain, and has good security and sensible defaults out of the box.”
and
“If you want a full-featured ActivityPub microblogging server with all the bells and whistles, go use that instead :)”

they define themselves as lightweight so “a lot more light than the others” seemed fitting

@Maven ah gotcha, thanks. I haven't looked at it before.

@Maven@labyrinth.zone @QuadRadical@wetdry.world GoTo is pretty awesome. The main thing is lacks right now is the ability to edit posts (coming later this year though 👀). It has really good compatibility with apps and clients. It also supports markdown as well as adjustable character limit (default is 5000).

@Maven@labyrinth.zone @QuadRadical@wetdry.world the reason I'm not on GoTo though is because it is relatively boring in that it doesn't support reactions and quote posting (probably for all the features to be usable in Masto client, considering they don't have an official webUI).

Once the edit feature comes out, I'd argue there's no reason to use Masto over GoTo for single user instances.
