im gonna make a bunch more music doodles now just to improve my skills and creative thinking
heres #1 of whatever series this is. still deciding if i should make a music doodle daily, weekly, anything in between, eh
DAY 1 - bellfast
Day 2 - home studio
I think im gonna do this every day. its just little work to keep my brain juicin', yknow?
(i finally used the keyboard thats been collecting dust. it aint the best sound but ill get better with it with time. it has some latency tho so thats weird)
DAY 3 - lemmesee
this one was nice :] i dunno what to say here, it just made me feel comfy :)
DAY 4 - brie
(late is better than never)
(also this project crashed 3 times on me and i had to remake this 3 times. bruh)
(repost because i forgot to put it in the thread)
DAY 6 - oreganovania
i made this half asleep and filled with horrible ideas. hope you enjoy
DAY 7 - mangoslop phonkcore
can you tell that i was asked to do this instead of me actually wanting to
(i'm just messing around, keep suggestin things)
(suggestion: "make phonk" by my little brother)
on another note, can't believe 1 week passed already! wowee. here's to more music :]
Now that I've done a week of this, I think it's good to say that if yall like these and want a full version of any of these songs, lemme know!
:]
DAY 8 - galactic
(Suggestion: the word "galactic", by a relative)
Here's a bit more of a calmer track here. I wanted to emphasize the "big-ness" of it.
Hope y'all enjoy!
DAY 9 - grown man's lullaby
i was just sleepy and i wanted to make something calm. im going to bed now...
(also, 3/4!!! i dont use it too often so its nice here)
DAY 10 - André
I figured out the name of that one instrument (it's called a flexaphone) and I started cooking IMMEDIATELY
DAY 11 - Cliché
A stupid Idea entered my head and now i'm making a Creature of a Song.
I will probably continue this tbh, but as the rules of the game state, gotta post what i made after my first sittin'.
Anyways, here y'all have it!
DAY 12 - Matches
melancholic and contemplative. That's how's today's been, and that's how this song is. Enjoy, or not. It doesn't matter to me.
DAY 13 - Town Square
pulled up a random genre picker to expand my horizons. It picked "Celtic", as in that one genre that's always used in traditional fantasy music.
DAY 14 - Abraham (wip)
My brother wants me to make a song with a (frankly) ridiculous sample, and frankly, it's not half bad?
I mean it sure is not something I'm used to, but I am Making Progress!
This WILL be a full song because I owe him that, but here is what I have so far, as per the rules of the game :]
DAY 15 - forgotten shop theme
In an RPG game you loved playing as a child, you find a peculiar unused room when digging through the files; an unused shop room.
Entering said room via a debugging tool, you get the sinking feeling that you aren't supposed to be here...
DAY 17 - Great Offer
Was originally going to make this a song styled like the music in the game "OFF", because I was challenged to do so, but unfortunately I made the grand mistake of making this song in a major key, and it wrecked my flow in keeping theme.
Now it's just a normal song! Enjoy this completely normal shop theme.
DAY 18 - Destroyer (unfinished)
To be honest, I am VERY tired today, but I HAVE to put something out. That is WHY i am doing this series, to make sure that I can ALWAYS make music, regardless of how i am feeling or whatnot.
That being said, however, I am not currently the best with drops, so I honestly have no real clue what to place after this.
I experimented, but nothing sounded good, so this will go unfinished for now.
(as well, this was made in about a single hour so don't expect peak mixing quality. my bad)
forgot to make one yesterday i was too eepy
DAY 20 - 394
it's in 39/4 (if you're not a nerd about it)
i dunno what this is like, its like a very rushed waltz, constantly forcing itself ahead.
5/4 sounds more like cut 3/4 instead of lengthened 4/4, since 5/4 is just 6/4 with a beat missing
this is 5/4 but every eighth bar is 4/4, making it even more so rushed.
I personally think it's a unique vibe. What do y'all think?
DAY 21 - pov your fbi agent battles you
recently discovered microtonal again, but then realized that the bass and key chords aren't even in microtonal, so i guess this is only a half-microtonal song. eh. still sounds pretty groovy regardless.
pic not related
DAY 22 - The Machine Never Sleeps.
More microtonal experiments, this time it's fully microtonal. It's all in a microtonal scale called Orwell[9], a subset of 31edo.
It also samples some stuff from my previous songs, like Ominos' drums.
(god, i really need to upload Ominos one of these days. it's a GOOD song.)
DAY 23 - Pulsewave
(geez, I was gone a while. 2 weeks? damn. back at it again though)
Here is a drum+bass track with some video game music elements! I like serum a lot :]
DAY 24 - "VS Clear" Cutscene Sound Design Test
I don't often do sound design stuff, so this was more of an experiment than usual.
If you get a gist of what's going on without context, then I have done my job well.
DAY 25 - Ominos (Artcore Mix)
I found a very nice artcore sample that came alongside a midi!!! so i used it because I am not the best with artcore melodies rn, but i still very much liked the sample :]
