currently doing some maintenance on wetdry.world, it'll be down for a bit as i'm working to move over the media storage

I just noticed "foreach" on npm is controlled by a single maintainer.

I also noticed they let their personal email domain expire, so I bought it before someone else did.

I now control "foreach" on NPM, and the 36826 projects that depend on it.

@Ezio @spanospy for the most part yeah, it definitely seems to have a bit more activity as well

Essem boosted

@spanospy i originally shut it down due to costs, limitations, and difficulty of finding people to interact with on the fediverse

i feel like wetdry.world will last for a good while because i have a lot more resources and control over the infrastructure now than i did back then, and because i've found some neat folks on here to follow

@robinUniverse this is the right move, thanks for what you do and sorry you have to deal with this

yosuke yasui made a tune exclusively for the PSG parts of the DS hardware, unfortunately though it seems to be the only known tune made just for it (youtu.be/uTWeZrNfM9Q)

WAIT A MINUTE

the 3DS likely retains all of this hardware as well, considering that it had official (albeit limited) GBA support and is fully backwards-compatible with the DS

we need a chiptune tracker for the 3DS right now

Show thread

keep that in mind alongside the fact that the DS has 8 channels of ADPCM audio, as well as retaining the GBA's direct sound and the original game boy's PSG channels

this thing is a goddamn audio powerhouse

Show thread

how am I just now hearing that the DS had original PSG sound hardware

i'm not just talking about the leftover game boy stuff, there's literally 8 channels of PSG audio on the DS that are unique to the hardware

i'd like to see someone port sonic 1 game gear to the neo geo pocket color

i really need to update the esmbot homepage

@Froggo modify your instance to add some text at the bottom of every post, and there you go

@Pankine fedora seems more stable and the package manager is slightly easier to use, keeping endeavour on my desktop though
