The US Government is planning to utilise to host their security-critical services (such as 911, callcenters, tax processors, and others.)

I don't think this is a good idea, as has been shown to be expensive for their high reliability. I don't want my tax dollars to go to such a service, when my experience has shown much better options.

@joebiden what about instead? Way cheaper, and it being google, with their advanced experience, they surely will have a better reliability befit of a government project.

And yes, if some estimates suggest AWS being cheap for a big solution, it's probably not counting all the costs, not using the services, or not reliable.
