An hour ago I was at Kaiser Permanente Berkeley, unlocking my bike and preparing to leave after picking up a prescription when two white men hurried out of the building towards me holding up and aiming their phones at me. Because who every sees a 68-year-old Black woman who owns and rides a RadPower Bike, so I must be stealing it.

I have this fantasy about living somewhere that I'm not a suspect, but unfortunately being trans means having other Black people treat me just like white people do.

The genocide in Gaza has brought out the ‘inner Zionist’ in many people - Jew and Gentile alike - who previously seemed like they might be supporters of Palestinian ‘rights’ (whatever that might be). Some either seemed to be, or even claimed to be, ‘anti-Zionist’.
