Hi everyone, I'm thinking about hosting a potential tournament for Splatoon 1 next year before the servers close, but I'm currently stuck on deciding on a date.
I have two dates in mind, I'm looking to host the event around 8pm GMT (I can't do anything earlier than 7pm on those days, and I don't particularly want to start it past 10pm).
If you're interested in participating, can you select the date that would be the best for you?
The event would have 2 teams only (just because I can't spectate matches in Splatoon 1) and I would need to participate on one of the teams (hopefully I don't let my teammates down, especially with no voice chat).

In ideal circumstances, investing in a mic and coordinating with your team would be a worthwhile investment. In a team game like this it really would be helpful, even just to hear what your team mates are saying and updating everyone on locations. :)

I primarily play Splatoon on my TV and it would be extremely uncomfortable looking up to my TV from my desk.
I have a monitor, but it has no audio, plus I've had display issues with it for the Wii U.
@splatoon@wetdry.world @splatoon@lemmy.world [lemmy.world] I see. I’m not sure of your circumstances (obviously) so you need to do what works for you.
For me I just have my phone on the voice call on discord (or soon to be matrix) with headphones paired and then tv or switch volume up so I can hear it with headphones in.
It’s a lot of fun being able to communicate with the team on the fly. Also such a skill trying to listen and play at the same time.
