I hate getting political, but I have a platform on here and despite me being sick of Fedi I will use it to spread this nonetheless.
If things begin to go south, both literally and figuratively;
* If you or anyone you know is trans, they're cis now.
* If you or anyone you know is an immigrant, they've been here since they were born.
* If you are asked about politics, you say that you do not discuss politics.
You must protect the vulnerable and yourself.
Do not harm yourself because of this. You have to keep your safety first!!!
I hate telling people to do anything but you must protect people, because violence is very likely with how Trump and others are pushing a "trans and queer people are groomers" narrative.

@memes @frost I dont agree with blueskys "federation" system (its just centralised with extra steps), but I do agree that Fedi really isnt perfect, particularly with the topic centric instances. its crazy how mospeople dont have just a singular interest. dont know what the potential solution would be though

Or just join Friendica, lol. Groups of all types are better represented here anyway (as well as posts - that are not called toots)
@memes@dwarf weddy is mostly tech nerds hence why thats the memes i mostly post but if i were to want to explore other stuff I'd have to move instance and that's a hassle, then if i didn't wanna do it i'd have to go out and look for stuff yadayada, also none of my friends really use this except maybe distant ones :p
that's strange. i always thought that more developed countries are better at tech, than 3rd world ones like us. i mean, most of cool ppl i know (my friends, friends of my friends) use fedi. i mean, yeah i can't just ask a random passer by and expect them to have fedi, but most of at least a bit active people have moved here. prob, because corpos are against us (who would've thought that evil companies and stupid techbros prefer ruzzian empire), therefore anybody, who know there's a way to not be in a corpo-regulated space, instantly switches over here
