i love the drumkitleaks subreddit because everyone one there is so tapped in the underground, like you'll have dozens of people asking for the new tekea kit as if nerdtrap doesnt have a combined total of 12 views on youtube but then you just have people like this
@fluor why is there a dedicated drum kit piracy sub reddit you can literally make half of the percussion samples out there with a noise waveform lmao
@chalkllate
for a couple of reasons
1 - trap being really drum-oriented, prods are insanely picky about sound selection and quality, white noise+lfo usually doesnt cut it
2 - these kits are usually made by popular producers with a lot of people looking up to them, they'll contain things like vst presets, mixing presets, specific signature samples, fx and transitions, etc. A big part of the appeal is the insight on their process for their sound (hell sometimes these kits will straight up have educational project files bundled with them)
3 - some subgenres have more out there or more specific samples or mixing techniques attached to them that makes it difficult to start getting into without kits like these (see video below showing a supertrap kit)
